David Wulfeck holds degrees from the University of Northern Colorado and UNC Greensboro, and has doctoral studies at Indiana University. The winner of numerous solo competitions, Dave has soloed with many ensembles and toured throughout the US and abroad. His performances have taken him to Canada, Korea and nearly every state in the US. Dave has served as Principal Trombonist with the Corpus Christi Symphony, Cheyenne Symphony, Owensboro Symphony and Greeley Chamber Orchestra, has performed with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic, Greeley Philharmonic, the Denver Brass and San Antonio Brass, and plays frequently with the North Carolina Symphony. Other credits include world premiere performances of “Merrie English Love Songs” for Trombone and Soprano by Sharon Davis, and Bernhard Heiden's “Encounters” for Brass Quintet. Dave was formerly Instructor of Trombone at Texas A&M University - Kingsville, Ozark Christian College and was the Trombone Teaching Assistant at the University of Northern Colorado. As a member of Impact Brass and Singers, he made several recordings for Dynamic Media, Inc. Dave regularly transcribes and arranges music for the Carolina Brass. He is a member of the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra and teaches at St. Augustine's College and Shaw University.
