Robert Campbell is the Principal Horn player for the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra and Associate Principal with the Winston-Salem Symphony Orchestra. In his more than 25 years of orchestral and chamber music experience, he has been a member of orchestras such as the Charlotte Symphony and the International Music Program Orchestra. Bob was the soloist and Principal Horn player of the IMP orchestra for their European tour, which took him to Italy and Germany. As a member of the Matrix Brass for more than a decade, Bob performed throughout the U.S., at Lincoln Center, and toured Japan. Bob has performed with other orchestras, including the Tallahassee Symphony (FL), Greenville Symphony (SC) and the North Carolina Symphony. He enjoys all kinds of music and has played with performers such as Ray Charles, Tony Bennett, Rod Stewart, and The Moody Blues. He is a graduate of the North Carolina School of the Arts, where he studied with Fred Bergstone. Bob is on the faculty at Wake Forest University, where he is a member of the faculty woodwind quintet, and he is a founding member of the Winston-Salem Bolton Project Wind Quintet, an experiment to improve student academic achievement through music education. Bob is a founding member of Carolina Brass.
